Acting under the supervision and authority of the Session, the deacons of Spring Meadows Church serve to minister to those who are in need, to the sick, to the friendless, and to any who may be in distress. They are charged with the development of the grace of liberality in the members of the church, and to appropriately collect and distribute the gifts of the people. They take care of the property of the congregation, both real and personal, and ensure all property of the congregation is kept in proper repair. Dan Perlstein, Deacon
Daniel Perlstein has served as Deacon for Spring Meadows Church for the past decade. Along with his wife, Jacque, and their children, Brittany, Danny and Jordan, Dan has been a member of Spring Meadows Church for over 12 years. Dan, who also serves as the Church’s Sunday School teacher, works as a sales representative at Lexus, a division of Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A., Inc. Romans 10:9, 10: “That if you confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
The most exciting thing about being a deacon is that I enjoy helping to provide benevolent mercies for those in need of food, clothing, shelter, and work. Ric Pinchart, Deacon
Ric Pinchart has served as Deacon of Spring Meadows Church for the past 17 years. Originally hailing from Wisconsin, Ric and his wife Brenda moved to the Las Vegas valley in 199X and have been members of Spring Meadows since 1989. Ric currently works in the Advance Technology Division of Northrop Grumman. What is your favorite book/passage of the Bible? Proverbs What is the most exciting thing about our position with SMPC? One of the most rewarding things for anyone who has served as a Deacon of this church is to see the love and generosity of this body of believers when a need is presented and the professing of faith of those that are ministered to. |
